  1. TURKMENISTAN - Passport and visa required.  At the time of publication,
  2. visa issuances are being handled by the Russian Consulate.  The visa
  3. process must be  initiated in Turkmenistan by the sponsoring agency or
  4. by the travel agent involved; no visa request is initiated at the Russian
  5. Consulate.  Visas are not issued until an approval cable arrives from
  6. the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Turkmenistan to the Russian Consulate.
